Abacus Classes

In-Person or Online!
We recommend students to attend in-person classes. We offer online classes for those who live 30 miles or more away from JAMS.
What to expect in Online classes
- Students receive their materials and book by mail with a fee.
- All students must have a functioning camera and a microphone on their computers (preferably laptop).
- The Student-Teacher ratio for online classes is 3 to 6 students per teacher in a group.
How a Student’s Abacus Skill Progresses
The JAMS program is a continuous year-round program. JAMS conducts lessons in a group setting but individual progress varies.
The student’s progress also needs parental support by maintaining a consistent study schedule at home. Other than the regular Abacus class session, it is recommended that the child do 10-15 minutes of Abacus exercises every day, 5 days a week.
Each student learns at his/her own pace but teachers are keeping an eye on each student’s progress on a weekly basis.

Abacus Level 16 (Beginner level) is designed to introduce students to the foundational concepts of abacus math. Through engaging lessons and hands-on activities, learners build confidence and essential skills from the very start.
